A MATTER OF BALANCE – PROGRAM DATES TBD
Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. This is an 8 week course that meets every week for 2 hours in our Schine Meeting Room.
*There is classroom work each week along with some exercise.
WELLNESS TIPS FOR ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS
Breathe: Try a meditation or yoga class.
Think Positive: Positive thinking provides a longer life span.
Have Fun: Read a book, garden, take a walk, sing a song and do what you like.
Build Resilience: How you handle challenges enable you to enjoy life.
Exercise: Daily exercise should be part of your routine. Exercise reduces stress and can boost your mood!
Socialize: Spend time with friends and family, a gold buddy, travel companion or gaming partner.
Complete a Daily Task: Completing a task, even a small one, can bring a sense of accomplishment.
Stop Worrying: Constant worrying is harmful to your health; work on positive thinking.
Establish Routine: Create stability in your life with routine which will help reduce stress and increase security.
