School Age Programs
The Family YMCA After School Program provides a fun, safe environment for children in grades K-5 who attend Westport Public Schools. The program runs at the Westport Weston Family YMCA from the end of the school day until 6 pm.
Students from all Westport elementary schools will be bused to the YMCA by the YMCA.
Students participating in the After School Program will start each afternoon with a healthy snack as well as quiet activities and homework help. The group will play games in the gym or up at Camp Mahackeno, located directly next to the YMCA, before getting ready for pick up.
Each week, the students swim at the YMCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays. School half days are included from dismissal time till 6 pm if they fall on the child’s regularly scheduled day. The program does not run on days when school is cancelled or closes early due to weather.
Registration for the 2017-2018 school year is open! Space is limited for this program. Fees are per month, and are charged on the first of the month prior.
