Westport Weston Family YMCA – Community Garden

The Westport Weston Family YMCA is always looking for new and creative ways to further our mission of making youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility programs available to all. Our newest project is to open a community garden in front of the Bedford Family Center which will be incorporated into afterschool childcare activities.

We are excited to get this project up and running, but we need your help! We need to raise $15,000 to build, plant and maintain our garden during its first year. The garden will help our afterschool children learn about:

• Science
• Agriculture
• Sustainability
• The importance of eating fresh and healthy foods

And so much more! Make a difference by giving a contribution to the Westport Weston Family YMCA so that together we can reach our Community Garden Project goal. Through being active participants in the garden, we can help our students feel a sense of accomplishment and work towards being their most confident and healthy selves.
