Healthy Kids Day® is back for another year of wholesome fun to promote active lifestyles and create lasting memories for families! This year’s event, presented by the Westport Weston Family YMCA, Keeler Motor Group & Hartford HealthCare, will be held on Saturday, April 25.
Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s national initiative aimed to inspire children and their families to discover the value of healthy lifestyles, emphasizing the significance of nutritious eating, physical activity, mental resilience, and the development of lifelong healthy habits. As our guest, you’ll enjoy an array of entertaining events, games, activities, sports, food trucks, safety demonstrations, local vendors and community partners for a delightful and educational day of fun.
The best part is, it’s free and open to all members of our community!

ABOUT HEALTHY KIDS DAY
Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative aiming to enhance health and well-being for kids and families, celebrated at over 1,500 Ys across the country by more than a million participants. When children are away from school, they can face challenges that prevent them from reaching their full potential. The Y seeks to utilize Healthy Kids Day as a springboard to help kids maintain active minds and bodies during the summer, fostering habits they can continue into the school year and beyond. Healthy Kids Day is sponsored nationally by Peanuts working in partnership with YMCA of the USA to increase summer camp access, innovative conservation programs, and camp leadership development for children across the U.S. and internationally.
Research shows that without access to out-of-school learning activities, kids fall behind academically. Kids also gain weight twice as fast during summer than the school year. Healthy Kids Day is a reminder to families that the Y can help ensure all children have access year-round to the key ingredients to reach their full potential.
