An enrichment childcare program for students of working parents. The Westport Weston Family YMCA School Age Child Care program is for children in the Westport Public School District entering grades K-5 in the fall of 2021.
Before School Care takes place in all five Westport Elementary Schools each morning from 7:00am to 9:00am. During the morning program, children will have the opportunity to complete homework, enjoy games and crafts as well as be active both indoors and outdoors whenever possible.
At the end of the school day students are provided bus transportation from the following local schools to the Westport Weston Family YMCA upon school dismissal time to 6:00 PM for an afternoon of activities including homework time, structured recreation (STEM, arts & crafts, games), outdoor play (if applicable) and snacks. Extended care options is available.
YMCA busses transport participants from Long Lots, Saugatuck and Greens Farms
District busses transport participants from Coleytown and Kings Highway.
The program follows the Westport Public Schools calendar and runs on normal school days as well as scheduled early dismissals.

** There is a minimum of 12 registrants required to run afterschool care at Kings Highway or Long Lots. In the event we do not get enough sign-ups, care will be provided at the YMCA. Transportation will be provided and fees will increase to the YMCA Onsite rates.
Schools out Vacation Day Camps take place at the Westport Weston Family YMCA. Vacation days are a great way to stay active and have fun in safe environment during school year vacations and days off. Each vacation day consists of arts and crafts, physical activities in the gym or outdoors at the Mahackeno Outdoor Center, a snack and swimming.
Be sure to pack a lunch, bathing suit and towel.

All participants must have a completed registration form and health form submitted prior to the vacation program.
