MEET OUR NEW AQUATICS DIRECTOR, BRIAN FERENCE!
The Westport Weston Family YMCA is thrilled to announce Brian Ference as the new Director of Aquatics. Brian has dedicated over 21 years to the YMCA, serving in various roles including Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Camp Counselor, and most recently, Assistant Aquatics Director.
Brian’s journey with the YMCA began with inspiration from his Boy Scout leader and has flourished ever since. Although he initially pursued a career in nursing, he found his true passion in aquatics and camp, ultimately choosing to make the YMCA his long-term home. His extensive experience reflects his unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging environment for all members.
In his new role, Brian aims to continue his mission of mentoring young employees and providing impactful swimming programs for children and families. He believes in creating a safe, fun atmosphere where youth can thrive both emotionally and physically. Known for his positivity, kindness, and sense of humor, Brian is excited to lead the aquatics team and inspire the next generation of swimmers.
We are proud to have Brian at the helm of our aquatics program. His passion for community, dedication to youth development, and leadership skills will undoubtedly enhance our aquatics offerings.
