WWFY Gymnastics Team Earns Major Wins at Emily Fedorko Challenge

The Westport Weston Family YMCA Gymnastics Team delivered an outstanding performance this past weekend at the Emily Fedorko Challenge, hosted at the Darien YMCA. The competition showcased numerous individual and team achievements across multiple levels, highlighted by strong team placements and exceptional individual performances.

Among the most exciting moments of the meet was Layla Lavine’s perfect 10.0 on the floor exercise in Level 6, earning first place and a rare perfect score. Another standout performance came from Lesly Marcelino (Level 3 Senior B), who achieved a clean sweep, taking first place on vault, bars, beam, floor, and the all-around.

The team also secured top team placements, including 2nd Place Team in Level 3, 1st Place Team in Level 4, and 2nd Place Team in Xcel Silver, reflecting the depth of talent across the program.
