As a member of the Westport Weston Family YMCA Masters Swim Team, you’ll engage in weekly structured workouts led by experienced coaches and have the opportunity to compete in both YMCA and U.S. Masters swim meets. Our training sessions, ranging from 3,200 to 5,000 yards, encompass all four competitive strokes—butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle—designed to enhance your technique and endurance. Join us for organized workouts and competitive events that help you improve and showcase your swimming skills.

The Westport Weston Family YMCA proudly announces the outstanding achievements of its Water Rats Swim Team and Water Rat Master’s Swim Team in the 37th Annual St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound Marathon, held on August 3rd. This esteemed event, featuring solo swimmers and relay teams, covered 15.5 miles from Port Jefferson to Captain’s Cove in Bridgeport.
The 2024 YMCA Masters National Championship in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was a testament to the talent and dedication of our Masters swimmers from the Westport Weston Family YMCA. From May 9th to 12th, our adult swimmers aged 18 and above showcased their prowess in the water, leaving an indelible mark on the national stage.
