MAHACKENO SUMMER CAMP
YMCA Camp Mahackeno is a traditional summer day camp that allows campers to experience a wide range of summer fun throughout the Mahackeno Outdoor Center campus. Our program creates an environment where campers build lasting friendships. Campers are encouraged to grow and learn about themselves and others while under the care of our wonderful, caring and highly trained counselors and staff.

*Camper must be entering entering Kindergarten in Fall 2026 and, per OEC rules, must be 5 years old as of September 1, 2026.

Campers step into a world of imagination where capes and crowns take center stage. From daring superhero missions to magical princess adventures, every child becomes the star of their own story.

Why wait for December? Celebrate the best holidays of the year in one fun-filled week with festive games, themed crafts, and holiday cheer—summer style!
AMAZING RACE | WEEK 3: 7/6-7/10
Teams face exciting challenges, puzzles, and races across camp in this fast-paced week of adventure. Campers will test their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a quest to the finish line.
COLOR WARS | WEEK 4: 7/13-7/17
Get ready for the ultimate camp competition! Campers are divided into teams to compete in sports, relays, and creative challenges where teamwork, spirit, and camp pride shine.
GO FOR GOLD: MAHACKENO OLYMPICS | WEEK 5: 7/20-7/24
Let the games begin! Campers compete in Olympic-inspired events—silly and serious alike—celebrating teamwork, determination, and friendly competition on their way to gold.
TIME TRAVELERS | WEEK 6: 7/27-7/31
Travel through the ages in our Time Travelers Week, where each day brings a new adventure from dinosaurs to the future. Campers will explore history through themed sports, creative projects, and hands-on experiments. From fossils to futuristic inventions, every day sparks imagination and discovery!
BATTLE OF THE ATHLETES | WEEK 7: 8/3-8/7
For campers who love to move, this week is packed with athletic competitions, obstacle courses, and unique sports challenges that test strength, skill, and teamwork.
SHIPWRECKED & SOAKED | WEEK 8: 8/10-8/14
Anchors away! Campers dive into water games, treasure hunts, and pirate-themed adventures. It’s a splash-filled week where fun is guaranteed to be soaked in.
SUMMER FLASHBACK | WEEK 9: 8/17-8/21
Relive the best of summer with a week full of camper favorites—classic games, beloved crafts, and the traditions that make camp unforgettable.
CAMP MAHACKENO EXENDED CARE
FOR MAHACKENO CAMPERS ONLY | GRADES K-10
PRE CAMP CARE
MON – FRI | 7:30AM-8:30AM
COST: $115/week
Pre Camp Care is available for families who need to drop off their camper before the 8:30AM-9:00AM drop off window. Campers enjoy table games and activities including cards, board games, coloring and drawing to name a few. Pre Care takes place in the tent adjacent to the main YMCA drop off loop.
POST CAMP CARE
MON – FRI | 4:00PM-6:00PM
COST: $205/week
Extra camp is extra fun! Post Camp Care runs from the end of camp until 6:00PM. Campers have the option to enjoy extra splash pad, slides, sports, arts & crafts, and more. After 5:45PM children can be picked up at the tent adjacent to the Main YMCA Pickup Loop until 6:00PM.
PRE & POST CAMP CARE
MON – FRI | 7:30AM-8:30AM & 4:00PM-6:00PM
COST: $260/week
For Mahackeno families who need pre & post care on camp days.
WHAT TO PACK FOR MAHACKENO
• A Towel
• One piece-bathing suit
• Hat or Visor
• Spray/ Aerosol Sunscreen and Bug Repellant
• Refillable Water Bottle
• Morning Snack (Non-refrigerated, Nut-Free, separate from lunch)
• Lunch (Nut-Free, Will be kept in a refrigerator until lunch time)
• Change of Clothes (Include underwear and socks)
