WWFY HOSTS 9th ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT, RAISING OVER $40,000 FOR COMMUNITY SUPPORT
The Westport Weston Family YMCA (WWFY) held its 9th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Aspetuck Valley Country Club, bringing together nearly 90 golfers for a day of fun, fellowship, and philanthropy. This beloved annual event raised more than $40,000 for the Y’s Financial Assistance Program, which in 2024 alone supported over 400 families with access to critical programs and services.
Participants enjoyed a lively four-person scramble format with contests including Longest Drive (Men’s & Women’s), Closest to the Pin (Men’s & Women’s), and a Hole-in-One Challenge. The tournament concluded with a celebratory reception, dinner, and awards ceremony. The winning team was made up of Spencer Kelley, Hunter Kelley, Nicholas Cianci, and Stefan Brod.

WWFY Director of Membership and Event Director Brian Marazzi shared,
“The WWFY golf tournament is always a special day and event. As the Director of Membership at the YMCA, a favorite aspect of my job is helping those in our community less fortunate by giving them the financial support they need to attend the Y. From life skill programs like swim lessons to safe, nurturing childcare and youth camps, the impact of this support is truly life-changing. Thanks to our amazing sponsors and participants, this year’s event was a tremendous success.”
