Gymcats Shine at 2026 YMCA National Women’s Gymnastics Championship

The Westport Weston Family YMCA Gymcats had an outstanding showing at the 2026 YMCA National Women’s Gymnastics Championship, bringing home national titles, all-around medals, and impressive individual event placements across multiple levels.

The Level 4 team delivered a standout performance, earning the Level 4 Team Championship with a 1st place all-around finish. The team also placed 1st on Vault, 1st on Bars, 3rd on Beam, and 2nd on Floor.

Several Gymcats also earned individual national champion titles. Julia Labreche was named Level 4 National Champion All-Around and National Champion on Vault, while also earning Silver on Floor. Geralyn Zagger earned Level 6 National Champion titles on Vault and All-Around, and Lesly Marcelino earned National Champion titles on both Vault and Bars in Level 3, along with Bronze All-Around.

The Gymcats also saw strong performances from Level 2 and Xcel athletes, with national titles, all-around medals, and podium finishes across the competition.
