WWFY CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL 47th ANNUAL POINT TO POINT CHARITY SWIM
Westport, CT – More than 120 swimmers gathered at Compo Beach on Saturday morning for the 47th Annual Point to Point Charity Swim, one of Westport’s longest-running athletic traditions. Hosted by the Westport Weston Family YMCA, the one-mile open water swim welcomed participants of all ages and abilities while raising funds to support the YMCA’s mission of expanding access to aquatics programs, swim lessons, and water safety education throughout the community.
A total of 122 swimmers completed the timed one-mile course, making this year’s event another successful celebration of athletic achievement, community spirit, and philanthropy.
The morning began with welcoming remarks from Brian Ference, Aquatics Director at the Westport Weston Family YMCA, followed by a stirring performance of the National Anthem by Ashlee Grieb, Group Exercise Manager. Participants then made their way to the starting line for the time-trial race, professionally timed by Elite Feats, whose team provided official race timing and results.
The event also welcomed My Team Triumph, whose participation highlighted the YMCA’s commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for athletes of all abilities.
Leading the field was Maegan Grisanti (17), who captured the overall title and was the first swimmer to cross the finish line in 20:43.06. The top male finisher was Brady Shiferman (12), who finished in 21:06.22, followed closely by Kristofer Janney (21) in 21:07.88.

The Point to Point Charity Swim continues to be a cherished community tradition that brings swimmers, volunteers, families, and supporters together for a meaningful cause.
