REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was forever changed by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Here in Westport, the impact was deeply felt. Many within our own community lost family members, friends, colleagues, and loved ones, and countless others were connected to those whose lives were forever changed.

On this 25th anniversary, we remember and honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all those who continue to carry the loss.

As a YMCA, we are reminded of the importance of community, compassion, service, and caring for one another, values that were so evident in the days and weeks following 9/11 and remain just as important today.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
