Summer Camp Traffic Parking

Dear YMCA Members,

As we gear up for an exciting summer of fun-filled activities at our YMCA, we want to ensure that your experience runs as smoothly as possible. To help you navigate through any potential summer camp congestion, we’ve outlined some important parking and traffic information below:

Increased Traffic Hours: Please expect increased traffic entering and leaving the YMCA during weekdays. We ask for your patience between the following times:

  • 8:30-9:00 AM
  • 12:10-1:00 PM
  • 3:00-4:00 PM
MAHACKENO DROP-OFF ROUTE

MORNINGS (Through Aug 23):

  • Camp Drop-off: Occurs Monday to Friday from 8:30-9:00 AM.
  • Parking Instructions: To ensure smooth entry and exit, members should park in the middle section of the parking lot or the section nearest to the Merritt Parkway.
  • Traffic Flow: Camp staff and signage will direct traffic to the first driveway upon entering the campus (farthest from the Merritt Parkway).
  • Traffic Circle: The Traffic Circle will not be accessible during these times to thru traffic for those dropping off or picking up in the parking lot.

AFTERNOONS (Through Aug 23):

  • Camp Pick-up: Takes place Monday to Friday from 12:15-1:00 PM (Traffic Circle) and 3:00-4:00 PM (Traffic Circle and back parking lot).
  • Pick-up Arrangements: Cars picking up Hafaday and Mahackeno campers will be parked in two rows in the traffic circle next to the building.
  • Traffic Circle Accessibility: The traffic circle will not be accessible during these times to thru traffic for non-camp related activities. During this time, please complete any drop offs or pick ups in the parking lot.
  • Gymnastics Camp Pick-up: For afternoon pick-up at gymnastics camp, parents must park and pick-up their children directly from the Gymnastics Center; parking in the roundabout is not permitted.

HANDICAP ACCESS:

  • Members who need to access the handicapped parking area during Hafaday pick-up times are permitted to drive through the “Do Not Enter” sign. This allows you to park without getting caught in the drop-off/pick-up line.
