WWFY HOSTS HEARTFELT VETERANS APPRECIATION BREAKFAST

Westport, CT – November 13, 2025 —The Westport Weston Family YMCA proudly welcomed local veterans and active military members for its annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast, held on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The event brought together community members for a morning of gratitude, connection, and heartfelt celebration.

Guests enjoyed a warm and inviting atmosphere filled with thoughtful touches, including a generous spread of breakfast items, meaningful giveaways, and opportunities to share stories and reflect on their service. The gathering created a space for veterans to connect with one another, meet YMCA staff, and feel recognized for their contributions to the community and the nation.

Navy veteran David McDonald expressed his appreciation for the event, sharing: “The event struck the right balance between celebration, connection, and reflection. The giveaways were fun and thoughtful, the food and beverages were excellent and plentiful, and the opportunity for story sharing and fellowship created a warm, enjoyable event that honored the veterans. I felt connected to both the veterans present and the Y staff who hosted. It was clear how much care went into making it meaningful and enjoyable for all who attended.”
