“We’ve participated in a variety of activities and teams with all three of our children, and undoubtedly, one of our favorite experiences has been our son playing on the WWFY Travel Basketball Team. The high-caliber and talented coaching staff, Mike, Andre, and Pete, assembled a group of kids who had complementary skill sets and personalities. The boys quickly took to being teammates and friends. Their support and respect for each other was continually fostered. Team camaraderie and friendship made it fun for the boys, and made the parent experience even more enjoyable as we watched this group of buddies enjoy their time together.

Head Coach Andre is the most caring, intuitive, and talented coach in the game, and we truly appreciated our son’s time with him. Each player’s skills noticeably grew throughout the season and so did their confidence, instincts, and cohesiveness. Skills can be taught, but Coach Andre’s ability to take a kid and grow their confidence and athletic instinct is unique, inspiring, and what sets this program apart.

My son’s jumping skills improved considerably, from tryouts to the end of the year. His ball handling, knowledge of advanced defensive sets, team comfort, confidence, leadership, and passion have increased 10-fold. The coaches have a rare balance of pushing the kids and expecting a lot of them while keeping them engaged and having fun. The kids are held accountable, which is evident in the way they hustle and their response to instruction.

And the coaching doesn’t stop at the end of practice. The extra “stuff” they’ve set up for these kids and the personal time they’ve donated, further separate this program from anything else we’ve been a part of. A huge thank you to Mike, Andre, and Pete for everything they do and continue to do for these kids. We are thrilled to be a part of this program and look forward to many more years to come.”
