Indoor Triathlon Returns For 2017!

The 5th Annual Westport Weston Family YMCA Indoor Triathlon returns on March 5, 2017!

The Westport Weston Family YMCA Indoor Triathlon consists of a 15 minute swim in the pool, 25 minute cycle on the spin bike, and running on the treadmill for 20 minutes. The swim laps, average power on the spin bike, and treadmill distances will be aggregated and scored to get the top three Male and Female triathletes. Unlike an outdoor triathlon, the transition times do not count toward your overall finish time and you will have time to get from one element to the next.

Depending on the number of participants, there will be at most two swimmers per lane. Each swimmer will stay on their respective sides throughout.

The spin bikes can accommodate SPD clips only. There are also cages on the pedals for those choosing to use running shoes on the bike. Remember to bring your goggles, but we will provide swim caps. Men must keep their shirts on during the cycle and run portions of the race.

After registering, please let us know your two preferences for start time. If you would like to race with your friend, indicate their name in your email. We will send out the starting times by Friday night prior to the event. The starting list will be set by race morning, with or without your input. You must check in at least 30 minutes before your wave start.

Here is the tentative timeline for Sunday, March 5:
